Exercise is a powerful tool for managing Parkinson's symptoms. Regular physical activity can improve balance, flexibility, and mood while helping to manage stiffness and fatigue.
My CareCycle helps you track your activities and see how exercise influences your symptoms over time, providing valuable insights for you and your healthcare team.
Once you tap the Exercise quick action button on the main screen, the **Exercise Log** screen appears.
1. You'll see several sections for logging your exercise:
Exercise Type
Duration (in minutes)
Intensity Level
Optional Notes
2. Start by selecting your exercise type from the dropdown menu. Options include:
Walking
Stretching
Strength Training
Balance Exercises
Boxing
Yoga
Other
In the Duration section:
The default duration is 30 minutes
Tap the minus (-) button to decrease by 5 minutes
Tap the plus (+) button to increase by 5 minutes
The minimum duration is 5 minutes
Choose your Intensity Level:
Very Light - Easy and comfortable
Light - Can easily maintain conversation
Moderate - Breathing harder but can talk
Vigorous - Hard to maintain conversation
Very Hard - Can barely talk
The selected intensity level will be highlighted.
In the Notes section:
- Tap the text field to add any additional details about your exercise
- You might want to note things like:
• How you felt during the exercise
• Where you exercised
• Any specific exercises or routines you did
• Any difficulties or achievements
To save your exercise log:
- Tap Save in the top-right corner
- Your exercise will be recorded and appear in your daily summary and reports
- If you need to cancel, tap Cancel in the top-left corner
All exercise data is stored securely and syncs across your devices using iCloud.
To view your exercise history and reports:
Navigate to the Reports section:
Tap "Reports" from the quick actions menu
Select "Exercise Report" from the reports list
In the Exercise Report, you can:
View total exercise duration and average intensity
See a breakdown of exercise types
Filter by time range (day, week, month, year)
Filter by specific exercise types
View detailed exercise history with dates and times
Additional features:
Print reports using the printer icon
View exercise data in your daily summaries
See exercise entries in the calendar view
